Tour One: Rockgarden Tour (Lakufa'anga)

This is the easiest of the four treks and is a sight-seeing trek.

The tour takes you to the scenic, geological site of the Rockgarden where rock formations stand fortress-like in an area where wild horses roam. Dramatic 200m cliffs above the sea provide an opportunity for bird watching as sea birds nest in the cliff face. The tour then makes its way along the edge of the cliff before heading towards the natural archway, Li'angahuo 'a Maui, before finishing at the Bowl of Cliffs.

This trek takes approximately four and a half hours.

Tour Two: 'Eua National Park Tour

This is the most popular trek taking you through the only National Park in Tonga. The trek starts at the edge of the plantation forest, passes through the National Park, Hafu Pool and to the "Big 'Ovava" tree before ending where the tour began.

The tour takes in the sights from two spectacular lookouts; Lauua and Lokupo Lookouts, where there are stunning views of the National Park coastline and of sheer cliff faces and surf. There is also the opportunity for bird watching, where the rare parrot Koki (red shining parrot) may be spotted. The tour then moves to Rats' Cave, a small cave amongst the cliff face with views of the coast.

This trek takes five hours covering the middle-east coast of 'Eua Island.

This walk is included in the fourwheeldrive tour or can also be done unguided with a provided map.

Tour Three: Fangatave Beach and Cave Tour

This trek is for the more adventurous tourists and becoming the most popular walk. The walk starts at the north-east tip of 'Eua at Kahana Springs. As you walk along the edge of the cliffs there is a stunning view of the beach below.

After scrambling down the cliffs to Fangatave beach below the walk continues through the rainforest. Hidden in this rainforest at the bottom of the cliffs is a spectacular cave system of columns, stalactites and stalagmites. There are a total of eleven caves and the walk passes through each of these. After caving you are able to relax, enjoy lunch on the sandy beach and swim or snorkel. The trek concludes by climbing back to the starting point.

This is a challenging trek for some tourists and takes about five and a half hours.
