Hideaway Whale Watching

100% locally (Tongan) run – fully licensed

Whales swimming off the coast in front of The Hideaway

Whales diving in front of 'Ohonua harbour

The waters surrounding 'Eua Island are a popular location for whales during their mating and breeding season. The whales can often be viewed as early as June and as late as November, although the peak whale season occurs between July and October. It is very common to see whales from land first before getting into the boat

Whale watching boat tours are offered on "The Hideaway" boat. A rare opportunity to view whales from the shore exists while staying at The Hideaway, where it is possible to view the whales from your room or the bar area as they frolic in the sea.
